WELCOME

SPL: "Good evening, everyone. As many of you know, Mr. Collins, our Troop Committee Chairman, serves on several high-level committees of both the Daniel Webster and Green Mountain Councils. Normally he would be here tonight to welcome you, but tonight is the Green Mountain Council meeting, and Mr. Collins had to be at that meeting to discuss and vote on some important issues. So in his place, let me welcome you to this Parents Night; I'm very glad to see all of you here this evening. Thank you for coming.

"The troop has been very busy over the winter. We've been working hard on all our advancements, seriously striving for meaningful achievement. Tonight we'd like to share with you some of what we've been doing. To set the mood and start us out, The Falcon Patrol has an uplifting and inspiring presentation."

COURT OF HONOR

SPL: "I would now like to introduce Mr. Roger Thompson, the Chairman of the Board of Review. Mr. Thompson, would you please open our Court of Honor?"

BoR Chairman: "By the authority vested in me by the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America, I declare this Court of Honor open for the purpose of recognizing the achievements of the Scouts of Troop 45."

SM: "Before Mr Thompson closes the Court of Honor, I'd like to thank all the parents and committee members who have served on the monthly sessions of the Board of Review over the past six months."

BoR Chairman: "I now declare this Court of Honor officially closed. Congratulations to all who have worked to earn the awards presented this evening."

DEMONSTRATION

SPL: "Over the winter, the troop went on several outings, including two overnight campouts. Greg Brentrup and Ross D'Aveni have set up a model winter campsite at the back of the room, to show you how we camp in winter conditions. If you would give them your attention, they'd like to give you a guided tour of their site."
