1.0 OverviewThe Boy Scouts traditionally hold a winter fun day every year. This year it will be at Occum pond so we can work on the snow sculpture and/or an igloo for the Occum Pond Party (a week later). Feel free to show up and help. In addition we can skate, play hockey, sled and tobaggon.2.0 Concept2.1 DescriptionThis year the Snow and Ice Fun Day will be at Occum pond so we can work on the sculpture for winter carnival. The troop is planning on building a snow sculpture and an igloo. The theme this year is "Summiting a Century", because the DOC is 100 years old and so we are encouraged to sculpture outdoor adventure things. The Rec department will have some food but everyone should bring more for themselves. This is a chance to figure out why the roof of those curious Arctic snow domes stay up - and have a bunch of fun in the process. It is also just a fun day out with friends. Hockey pickup games are common so bring hockey stuff.
