1.0 OverviewTroop 45 Scouts will hold a Winter Fun event at Nunnemacher Cabin located at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, NH. The Troop has reserved the cabin from Noon on Friday 7 March through Noon on Sunday 9 March. Activities during the weekend can include downhill skiing, snowboarding, ice axe training, and TLT.
Troop Leadership Training (TLT, formerly known as JLT) will be held from Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
Saturday is Boy Scout Day at the Skiway! Due to a special arrangement by Daniel Webster Council, all active Boy Scouts can ski for for $10 on Saturday.
2.1 DescriptionNunnemacher Cabin is located between Papoose and Lyme Drop ski trails on the Holt ledge side of the Skiway. Our meeting place for dropoff and pickup will be at the ski lodge. Those who can arrive before 3:45 pm Friday can ride the last lift run of the day up Holts Ledge. If you cannot arrive before 4 pm, you will have to backpack your gear up to the cabin. Once we arrive at the cabin we will organize duty rosters for cooking, cleanup, water supply, fire tending, etc.

2.3 Expected Conditions and DifficultyThis activity will be conducted at the Dartmouth Skiway, a modern ski area. Nummemacher Cabin is rustic, but safe and comfortable. There is no electricity at the cabin, but it is equipped with wood heat and a gas stove. Sleeping accommodations include thin mattresses and lots of floor space.
There is currently a winter storm warning in effect for Friday afternoon into Saturday. We'll get some rain and sleet!
2.4 Special RequirementsOpen to all Boy Scouts, scouters, and parents. A permission slip is required for each scout participating. See 3.2.1 below.

Drop-off Time: As soon as possible after school.

Pick-up Time: 1600 Sat for those not doing ice axe training; 1700 for those doing ice axe training. 1000 Sun for those doing TLT.
Directions: NH 10 north to Lyme. Bear right just past the green, following signs to Dartmouth Skiway.
