Black Community Center in Hanover and leave for Errol, N.H. by 7:30 AM. Once we arrive in Errol, we will stop at Northern Waters canoe/kayak rentals to pick up five reserved canoes. Northern Waters will drive us and the canoes to Culvert Camp on the Magalloway River where we will put in. Then we plan to paddle down the Magalloway to its mouth on Umbagog Lake where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we will paddle into the Androscoggin River and go downriver to the Errol Dam. After portaging around the dam, we will continue paddling down the Androscoggin, through the rapids at Errol, and on to Mollidgewock Campsite. There we will take out and set up camp at group sites 12, 13, and 14. We will have dinner, possibly a campfire or other activity, and go to bed. On Sunday we plan to get up and have breakfast at 7:00. The rental boats and a few of the adult leaders will be picked and transported by Northern Waters back to the rental place in Errol. There the adults will pick up the vehicles and drive back to the campsite. Meanwhile, the Scouts back at camp will be breaking camp and (depending on boat availability) practicing running the rapids on the Androscoggin next to the campsite.
