1.0 OverviewAdvancement opportunities include new Scout Tenderfoot advancement, Cycling Merit Badge, and community service. 2.0 Concept2.1 DescriptionWe will meet at Storrs Pond entrance parking lot and travel by bike to the Pastures Campground in Orford. The route is described below. Basically, we go north on Rt 10 to River Rd, cross the river on the Thetford bridge at Lyme. We then follow Rt 5 North long enough to get on some back roads that lead us past Lake Morey until we can get back across the river on the Orford Bridge. The Pastures Campground is in Orford.We will not carry our overnight equipment. A sag wagon will meet us at the Pastures, where we will set up camp for the night. Activities in camp will include some Tenderfoot advancement skills instruction, a simple service project, a game, and a campfire. In the morning we will break camp, load the sag wagon, and bike back to Storrs Pond for pickup. 2.2 Schedule of EventsSaturday 27 Aug1000 -- Meet at Storrs Pond entrance parking lot. Load sag wagon and organize for the trip. 1030 -- Start biking! 1200 -- Lunch at an opportune spot. 1245 -- Resume travel. 1500 -- Arrive at Pastures. Snack. 1515 -- Set up camp. 1545 -- Flags and camp opening. 1600 -- Activities, skills instruction, TBD. 1730 -- Dinner prep and dinner. 1830 -- Service project (Christopher). 1930 -- Campfire. 2045 -- Bed prep. 2100 -- Taps.

We will be on NH 10 and US 5 for part of the trip, so good biking safety procedures are imperative. The campsite is an established commercial site with water and toilets available.August weather is highly variable. Be Prepared. 2.4 Special RequirementsOpen to all Scouts, Scouters, and parents. There are no skill prerequisites for this outing.
